as much as i would want to think i would be right on the front lines fighting, i fear that i wouldnt have the courage...but i also think, we cant really predict what we would do in that situation when we arent even close to getting there. if everybody was dying and nobody else would fight, i would do it to protect my family and friends. but then again, i am an american and (although i am only 14) i would never consider joining our armed forces, and thats kinda in the same league dontcha think? so in all honesty, idk if i would. if i didnt, i would flee with my family and friends to somewhere abroad where nobody would find us...maybe a good fidelius charm would do it

I'd like to think I would be a major figure in the DA. I really like organizations with a meaning and a purpose, and I would join just to spite Umbridge. I enjoy spiting people who need to be spited.
As for the actual battle...I...don't know. I want to say yes, but then again, my instincts are saying no. I want to be like, "Hells yes. I'd be there fighting along Ginny." For me, I think it would depend on who I was fighting with. If it was my friends and family, then without a doubt I would be there, but if I didn't really care about the people, then I might not have stayed. Had the second option been the case, I would have stayed only if I felt prepared to duel with someone, which looking how things were going, I think would have been the case.

I definitly wouldn't have been out fighting on the grounds. I wouldn't be much help, I would get scared, freeze and die. I think I would've been there making sure that everyone made it out who wanted to get out, then joining forces with Trelawny and dropping things on their heads from above.
 I also would've flown disillusioned on a broomstick and tried to curse the DEs from above too, or tried to curse the giants in the eyes. I would've been up against the wall holding my breath like everyone else at the end, too. I wouldn't want to leave, I'd help out in with the injured and stuff, but I have a feeling that dueling would not be my forté in the wizarding world, especially under pressure.

i love this question...
because i would like to answer it quite "pensively", thinking back to when I was Harry's age, and would have been able to join the DA, would I have had the courage to stand up to authority and rebel for a cause?, i would like to believe I would...i doubt i would ever have had Harry's courage, though, to look for the the very person who wanted to kill me or to go back and save Malfoy and Goyle, i don't know that i would have that but that is why he is Harry.. now, as a mom, I have so much to fight for, like my hero Molly Weasley, so I think I would. I reality, I am extremely uncoordinated and quite clumsy, so I would probably have tried to fight...but probably have frozen up and died...quickly

It's hard to say really, I mean...in my opinion, no one can say yes or no without actually beeing in a situation like that, wich in any case, would be in a war. But...you have to think how it effects you. A)Does it effect your life. B) Does it include your family and friends. C) What are your over all options. It's that stuff that would determine itf you will or not. On the Da, yes. And the reason for it, was because Umbridge. In the world, you can't just always abck down, you have to stand up not only for what si right, but for what you believe in. Umbridge was a foul woman, who diserved what she got. And everyone in DA were smart for doing it. In the final battle, taken if it involved all three, Yes. You have to also know your enemy. Voldemort was just not trying to take over the wizarding world, but as well as the muggle world. So even though I be scarred, sad, and not wanting it. I think I would force my self into it. Even though my chances of dieing are quite high, considering me...LOL, but it would be worth it. Hell, i'm sure that's why people join the army. They are fighting for what they believe in, and if they did die, pray they do not, they know it was for a good cause, and that what they have done has made all the diffrence, even if they did lose.
So, yes. I would fight. |

if my whole family is out there like ginny. i definitely would have stayed. but hidden firing curses at DEs. if i'm still underage, i probably would not stayed. i'm not that brave, based on what i've discovered of myself. lol. i obviously don't have the courage like colin does. if i am of age and my family's not out there fighting. uhm i think i would help out at the back. taking care of the injuried and such.

I would've run away and got backup... I'm not going to lie. Not everyone is so brave as Neville, let's face it. I would NOT have supported Voldy, but --I dunno-- I could have helped fighting him from afar. Sad, I guess, but true.
