So guys? What do YOU think would happen if LV got some sugar from on e of his cold, clammy minions? Would the "soul fragment" be absorbed? Would his Horcruxes save him? Would the Dementor throw up? Or would nothing happen at all?

First off, to Leaky. I hope you enjoy the forums. You bring up an interesting question and I can only give you my opinion of what would happen. First, if he were kissed by a Dementor, it would suck out his soul through his mouth leaving him as a soulless shell, just like any other person that was kissed. His body would live on just like any other person would. Eventually, his body would wear out and die just like any other person who was kissed. At this point the horcruxes would try to do their thing to keep him from going on to the afterlife. But how do the horcruxes do this? They keep the soul bound to the earth and unable to move on. The problem is Voldemort's soul has been sucked out by the Dementor and isn't there to move on anyway.

What happens at this point depends on what you believe happens when a soul is sucked out by a Dementor. I see at least two options. First, the soul might be destroyed, which seems unlikely to me based on Jo's stated beliefs regarding the afterlife. Or, secondly, it might be that when the soul is sucked out it goes to some kind of limbo state where it remains until the body dies. Then it can go on to the afterlife. If you believe option one then the horcruxes wouldn't be able to do anything. If you accept option two then the horcruxes may be able to pull the soul back from the limbo like state and he would become the same creature he was after Godric's Hollow - Vapormort. Option two is what I think would happen.
