This month's Featured FanArtist is a marvelous artist and architect from Sao Paulo, Brazil, who specializes in the unsinkable ship, Ron and Hermione. She bases her characters on the film actors, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, but goes far beyond that. For July, the one and only --

She has a fantastic eye for detail and an incredible talent for portraying nuanced facial expression. She also likes to add just a bit of whimsy . . .

Here in the FanArt Gallery

You can find more of her art at her LiveJournal: http://lillywmw.livejournal.com/

Also on deviantART: http://lillywmw.deviantart.com/

For an in-depth view of this warm and wonderful artist, be sure to check out the fantastic interview she gave to the Brazillian HP fansite, Oclumensia:
Interview with Oclumensia

And, Lilly would also like to share with you a couple of amazing HP-experiences she has had, and detailed on her LiveJournal:

Spend some time with Ron and Hermione in lillywmw's special art garden. You might get bitten by the love bug, if not by a gnome. biggrin.gif

Thank you so much, Jamie and all The Leak Cauldron Fanart Gallery staff for this wonderful surprise you gave me! I´m really flattered!

You made me very happy with your words in this first post of this thread, Jamie!
Thank you so much for it and all the support you always gave to me in this site and also at LiveJournal.

I hope that the members of the gallery and forum could appreciate my drawings, knowing that it´s only have been made for my love for this amazing world JKR created.
I don´t commission my work and it all made using traditional techniques.

I can say that first of all I´m a portraitist, but you´ll never find a picture of the actors in the situations I draw them.

Lately I´ve been working a little more doing illustrations for fanfictions. I think is a good opportunity to give to lot of talented people that have been working, like me, only by their love for this fandom, to have their working “coming alive” on a picture, since, even I also love to make illustrations for the books, JKR has a lot amazing people illustrating them not to mention, Daniel, Rupert and Emma themselves representing the characters.

Some of them are rated R and Jamie told me she´ll put a link for these here and I will also post some I didn´t add to my gallery here soon.

Anyway I truely hope you enjoy them, seeing them first of all in an artistic way.

I will answer any doubt of you as far as possible here, because my English skills are not by far, my best quality! biggrin.gif

Thank you all again for your attention and I´m looking forward for the home page update! ;)

I already have a new work posted today at my page! And I would love if you could take a look. It´s based in a famous R&Hr Fanfic called “Never Enough” by the fanfic writer Evanesco75

Title: “I´ve been dreaming of this…”
Rating: PG13
Medium: watercolor and watercolor pencils
Characters: Ron & Hermione
Note:I add to the post a passage of chapter 32 of "Never Enough" that I tried my best to make it looks a PG-13.

FULL IMAGE OF `I` VE BEEN DREAMING OF THIS` PLEASE SCROLL UP DOWN THE SIDE BAR TO SEE IT

"Now that I´ve done the film, when I´m reading the book, I can see Dan, Rupert and I actually doing it.It´s really funny, I have this little picture in my head." Emma Watson

Thanks for stopping by, lillywmw!

One of my favourite older pieces of hers is this --

Here in the FanArt Gallery

I just LOVE the way she has Hermione's fingers entwined in Ron's hair. Very evocative! wub.gif

I really love the detail in the pieces, especially in the hair. It's as if every strand is represented. Good work!

Fabulous artist. I love the way she draws Hermione. It's exactly how i picture her smile.gif

lillywmw has just uploaded this fantastic new image!

It's a lovely image of daddy Ron and baby Hugo playing with a snitch, and can be found here in the FanArt Gallery.

Wow you're a really talented artist!

I've been looking through and I adore this picture. I love Klimt and this is a wonderful interpretation of The Kiss; the golden colours, the expressions, and as blue4t pointed out, the hair! Lol, it's brilliant!

This one is very pretty too.

lillywmw is another artist whose work I've seen around, and never really knew who had done the fantastic pieces. Once I found out she was in our gallery I KNEW we had to feature her! I am amazed at the amount of detail which she uses in her pieces color wise. They are just so bright and vibrant.

One of my favorite peices, and one of the first once I noticed is this one:
found here in the galleries. The hair in that picture is an excellent sample of the great coloring and detail. It just looks so realistic due to the great care the artist took while drawing it.

Oh, I love the richness in texture. It reminds me of some style but my rusty art-memory won't allow me to put a finger on it.

This piece had me melting when looking through her album. The interaction between the three is just gorgeous!

One thing I really appreciate about fan art is the chance to see a different interpretation of the characters I have only read about, such as lillywmw's vision of Lavender Brown --

Here in the FanArt Gallery

I absolutely love the inner turmoil going on in this picture! clap.gif
