It's VERY short, and there are no character images in it, but the Imax teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince was released this week, preceding the Imax showing of Batman: The Dark Knight --



And, it certainly does what a teaser trailer should do--it makes you want MORE! biggrin.gif So what do you think of this little tease?

As far as the actual full trailer for HBP the current rumours place it as being released preceding The Mummy 3 on August 1, in the US.

I know many who are annoyed at the simplicity of this particular trailer, but that seems to be the style of advertisement at the IMAX I go to. They never show long trailers of any sort, it is always extremely short.

As far as the teaser itself, I did not expect to get an audio DD line in there, and boy is it an awesome one! woohoo.gif This tiny tease definitely whet my appetite for more! I am glad to get a little bit of anything. Now I can wait happily for the next one. smile.gif

I totally agree: hearing those words sent chills down me. It was just so eerie and the tone of voice! well I can say I have been 'teased' into wanting more excited.gif

It definitely works as a teaser trailer, I'll give it that much. But I'm not even sure if a shot of the title and such really merits a trailer. More a 'trail'. Even an 'er.'

WB really like not giving much away, don't they? lol.gif

That's exactly what I was expecting too Hagiographer! lol.gif I too thought the line perfectly sums up Harry's future. Plus it really felt in character as DD. He knows he is asking alot, but there is no other way. Really loved it! wizard.gif

Now that I've listened to the trailer and that one line about 50 times I am wracking my brain trying to figure out WHERE that line comes in. I remember in GoF the "dark and difficult times lie ahead" line that was used in the teaser poster and trailer came very near the end. But obviously THIS LINE cannot. ponder.gif

My best guess at this point is that it is when DD picks Harry up from Privet Dr, after meeting Slughorn, and perhaps in the Weasley's shed, if they keep that scene. OR, maybe when Dumbledore charges Harry with obtaining the "original" horcrux memory from Slughorn . . . hmmm . . .

OR it could be when he and Harry discuss the Horcruxes and destroying them, OR when he tells Harry to make him drink the green potion.........

Very minimalistic teaser really ... but in a way I really like it because well, one apparently needs a lot imagination to get the relevance lol.gif And as Hagiographer13 and birthday twins mentioned it's so much fun to guess where the line is taken from.
As a non obsessed HP fan I would be a tad confused and bummed though ponder.gif
