Here, in our Galleries.

Let's celebrate the recent news of the impending publication of The Tales of Beedle the Bard! We invite any and all artists to submit their vision of any of Beedle's Tales. Any medium, any style, we want to see it!

With the exception of The Tale of the Three Brothers, which we heard in DH, there is an astounding lack of artwork regarding the other tales from Beedle. We want to see your work! Give it a shot and see how yours compares with Jo's drawings after the book is released!

Found here in the Galleries.

Just in case you need a refresher: The summaries of each tale, generously given by Amazon, may be found here.

So get busy, artists! artist.gif C'mon we know you are dying to put Babbity Rabbity and her Cackling Stump on canvas! wink.gif

There isn't much "Beedle" art out there--YET! But one of my favourite HP FanArtists, somelatevisitor has posted some over at deviantART --

The Wizard and the Hopping Pot

I hope to see some great things from our oh-so-talented artists! wub.gif

Wow, Hever! I love that! I don't know how you did it, but the tiny bristles all over instead of long hairs really makes it very chilling. clap.gif The key at the bottom is a lovely touch too. Thank you! flowers.gif If you have any more, bring 'em on!

Who else is out there with something Beedle to show us? *cranes neck*

Here's that awesome picture by Hever --

I agree with what birthday twins said about the little bristles of hair making it look even creepier! ohmy.gif I think that that particular Beedle story has some of the best imagery, at least from the synopsis I've read. Can't wait to get the actual WORDS written by Rowling since her prose is incredibly evocative. excited.gif

Great job! thumbup.gif

Well, I didn't want to read any spoilers so I just took the brief amazon description of a "drawing of a heart covered in coarse hair and dripping blood" and ran with it. Long hair didn't even occur to me since it would cover all the detailed nasties of the heart.

If I do any others, I'll be sure to post them smile.gif

Ok I gave it a shot but failed terrible.

Here they are:

The Fountain of Fair Fortune It is not very good and now that i look at it, too plain. This is my worst one.

The Wizard and the Hopping Pot This is not my best, nor worst.

Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump This is alright. I like how I did the stump but the trees are only there to fill up space.

The Warlock's Hairy Heart This is my best one. When I saw Hever's, I thought to myself, how in the world I am going to match that? So when I ran through the summary on Amazon I thought Hever had it all. But I had this thought of doing the hands on Twilight with the Warlock's Heart. The hands are horrible. I tried drawing blood but it didn't exactly work out...

Hever You rule! biggrin.gif

So yeah those are my drawings artist.gif ...

Some really good stuff so far! thumbup.gif With the release of The Tales of Beedle the Bard in a few short weeks I hope that actually reading Jo's awesome narrative, rather than the Amazon synopses, will get everyone's creative juices flowing! I can hardly wait to read the stories and see more Beedle fan art! artist.gif

Now that The Tales of Beedle the Bard has been released, I am anxiously awaiting some new FanArt for it! woohoo.gif

As the stories are all very evocative, it think they are a great starting point for some amazing art. artist.gif We DO have this amusing offering by the ever clever Rotae, found here in the FanArt Gallery.
