Take a look a our first sneek peek at Order of The Phoenix thanks to ABC and the Video Galleries HERE!


ABC Family Network is currently promoting the showing of an extended version of Prisoner of Azkaban which will air on the weekend of December 1st. As part of this promotion, they are showing commercials with scenes from the upcoming Order of the Phoenix film.

In this brief clip we see what appears to be the masks of 2 Death Eaters followed by a solo shot of Harry looking rather intense. Afterwards we see very fast broomstick riders over what appears to be the Thames river in London at night. The London Bridge is visible.....Next we see Harry, Ron, and Hermione looking rather frightened and apparently backing away from something while in (presumably) The Forbidden Forrest. We then see the same riders on broomsticks racing past Big Ben and the House of Parliment in London. All lit up, at night....reflections in the Thames. The clip finishes up with Harry flying directly towards the viewer at breakneck speed while over the same river Thames.

We now have a brand new 10 second teaser trailer for Order of the Phoenix from WB!!!

In this video, which you can view in the Video galleries here we see Snape encouraging Harry to learn Occlumency and then see a glimpse of scenes showing the trio and the DA.

I cannot wait for this film! This looks absolutely excellent. Rickman's voice when he tells Harry to "prove it" is just perfect. And I love Harry at the end when he argues that he wants to fight! It's exactly how Harry would say it - determined and frustrated that he can't do anything.

Snape fans rejoice! And even those of us who hate him, coz we're getting Occlumency !!

I love the way Harry yells about wanting to fight. This film is going to be mean and moody!

I've yet to see the trailer, but I have to say, that kissing scene between Harry and Cho looks rather...er... "cool" instead of an awkward first kiss...
Even so, it is now my wallpaper. Hurrah! I can't wait until Monday! I'm having such a busy weekend that there's no way I'll be able to make it to Happy Feet now... and I so wanted to see it.

In the short scene WB is allowing us to preview... is it just me or does Snape look more concerned than harsh?

If the kissing scene is not wet and gross and awkward like the book, then its rubbish. But I haven't seen the trailer so how can I judge?

I am so loving the few snippets of the Occulemency lessons!

When Harry says he wants to fight, that makes me so proud. I just want to join him!

You're not the only one who thought that - that was my immediate impression too. To be honest, I actually get rather concerned about how Rickman portrays Snape because he does know a lot about his future. I would like those words to be spat out with contemptuous venom.


ETA - I can't help but laugh every time I watch that ABC Harry Potter Xmas trailer . It reminds me so much of the film Scrooged with Bill Murray when they do their countdown to Xmas Eve trailer.

You know, I thought Snape looked concerned too and that really suprised me.
But I think I watched that tease about 50 times last night, I couldnt get enough. I think this is the first and probably last time I'll say this but, HURRY UP MONDAY PLEAAAAAAAAAAASEEEEEEEEE!!!!

About Occlumency, especially after GOF when there just isn't hardly any Snape at all, I'm dying to see the rest of that scene. I would be anyway, because it's such a great part of the book. Rickman acts as I expect Snape to be without the Harry filter, unpleasant but not evil. But I honestly think that movie Snape has never been as ambiguous as he is in the books, and I actually think they'll have the most trouble convincing us in the movie of HBP (although by then we'll know anyway).

I think I'm going to die waiting for this movie to come out.

for me, Snape is cruel to Harry because he knows how much depends on Harry and wants to teach him Occlumency so that he would be able to fight Voldemort.
Alan Rickman knows Snape better than any of us (not counting Jo, of course ) and since he is a brilliant actor im sure his Snape is gonna be accurate.

That scene.. occlumency... Oh. My. Good. Ness. WOWZ!! If anything to make me believe Snape is good, Alan Rickman sure convinced me there! And THE MINISTRY! Ow, this movie is going to be so awesome! This was my favourite book and .. *sigh* I can't wait! Another 8 months to go!

It's the bit with the Advance Guard flying next to the Houses of Parliament that gets me every time. It makes it all seem so real.

Question: Is there any good cap shots of the ABC thingy? I looked on the TLC Gallery page, but the pics there don't seem to be working!

I know! That was such an amazing scene that if they had just had that, I would have still been hooked.

Now begins the wait. Fantastic.

It's that first shot of Harry, in Dumbledore's office, that makes my heart pound. Knowing that he has just come back from battling Bellatrix and being possessed by Voldemort. Well, that, and seeing Sirius die. It really hurts my heart. He looks so lost....

I agree, both of these moments just hooked me. I can't wait! I wanna see the movie!!!!!!!!! It's killing me......

I dont want to sound too negative here, but I remember that I was soo excited after seeing all the teasers and snippets before GOF, and then the movie turned out to be quite infuriating (cf. the on-going Micheal Gambon threads...).

So I hope that this time there is plenty of good stuff left, and not a 30second summary of ALL the best bits...

The Snape scene looks awesome, cant wait!!!

I too noticed that Snape looks more concerned than harsh, but I also think that the book-Snape is concerned (e.g. the careful wording of his words)

Anyways, as long as they keep plenty of Snape in the movie, I won't complain!

We'll warn you now - there are some amazing, incredible spoilers in this! You get Sirius and Bella fighting in the MoM, Umbridge talking, scenes in the forest, Lucius holding the prophecy, Grimmauld Place, Luna talking about thestrals - you name it, it's in there!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE RIGHT THAT IS SO FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok I'll stop yelling now. That was just excellent, I am so stoked for July! When Umbridge first spoke I laughed so hard for so long I had to pause it so I didn't miss anything. She's freakin' perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!

I have already seen the HBO Sneak Peak and... I can say that I'm a bit surprised because they seem to be showing lots of bits from the film... and we're in November...

True, but it is probably only alot for us who have read the book. To the general public it is proabably a brief overview with a few teasing bits of info and alot of images that are a hodge-podge and don't make tons of sense. Just enough to get them interested. Of course, we are now waaay interested! What I worry about is that after this flood of info we will now be in a drought until July. *bites fingernails*

OMG is right! I can't believe how much they showed! I can hardly wait to get some screencaps of this to study in more detail.

That HBO sneak peak is amazing!! My gosh, they showed a lot! This movie is really looking fantastic. I'm trying not to have high expectations for this movie... It's my favorite book in the series and I know it's got to be the most difficult to adapt to a film... but all these amazing clips are really making it difficult.

Hey, I just had a thought. Yes they do seem to be showing alot, especially of the MoM fight in the Veil room. But think of what we have not had a whiff of......... the big DD vs. LV showdown! They are saving that for the big major surprise, I think. Yeah, we got a picture of the Fountain of Magical Bretheren, but we never heard a thing about it getting broken apart! Sweet. I am glad, I'd like to keep that a surprise. People who have not read the book are going to be floored. Hehe!

I cannot wait to see the WHOLE battle in the MoM! DD v LV is ganna be amazing, and yes they are leaving us in the unkown, 'cause they wanna surprise us! I just hope we are surprised in a good way, and not in a bad way, if you know what I mean!

I have to say that watching that 'HUGE Sneak Peak' made me almost cry with excitement! If WB keeps giving us these things, they are ganna kill us all with anticipation! *But please WB don't stop!*

The battle between the Order and the DEs is ganna be intense! Just looking at the setting of it gave me goose-bumps! *Jason Issacs looks sooooooo handsome!!! Too bad we won't see him for the next one!*

Luna is fantastic! Her outfit and hair are sooo canon it shocks me! And I loved her "they are called Thestrals" part! The way she said was sooo soft, almost as if anyone should know about them!

But, oh my gosh ... boy was it worth the wait. The problem is, now I keep watching it over & over. It is totally awesome & I cant believe how much they put in. Actually I'm a little surprized we see so little of LV other than his swimming pool look, because the teaser poster is like so shocking in that it's only LV (I'm not sure what I was expecting for the teaser poster, but not that). But, this is an awesome trailer & Umbridge really does look toady & it is all just ... awesome. Wow.

Oh I'm so sorry you had to wait! It wouldn't load for me for forever, so I just downloaded it and it only took about 2 or 3 minutes.

Yes, I was sort of hoping to be able to see some new images of Voldemort, but I suppose it's only natural since it's so early. I can't wait for the real trailer though--I'm hoping we get some new images of him then!

It looks absolutely amazing, doesn't it? I love the brief glimpse of the Ministry - it looks like someone's holding a prophecy at some point. And Luna's pink hightops are perfect - I burst out laughing when I saw them! As for Bellatrix - wow. I cannot wait for this movie! 13 July can't come fast enough!

Oh yes, you're right! Today I was wondering about what is missing in the sneak peak and one of the things that I remembered is that they showed nothing of the big duel between DD vs. LV... I hope that they don't ruin that scene in the film...



And there's also something missing....... there are no signs of Snape's worst memory! I think that many of us are looking forward to watch that scene...




P.S: And what about the sets for the battle in the Departement of Mysteries?... I found them a bit weird...

Hey good catch on Snape's worst memory! I forgot about that one. I admit now after seeing the sneak peek I am just terrified of the 45 min David Yates said he is going to have to cut. Nooooooooo! I want every single second! I am really worried Snape's worst memory could hit the cutting room floor. Whatever is cut, I am desperately hoping for a dvd version with the other 45 minutes on it somewhere.

I admit the set near the Veil in the MoM looked a bit different than I pictured but I am pretty sure it will be doctored up a bit with digital before release. If they are just finishing the filming they have not got to the special effect stuff yet, which is why there was no actual screen time of Grawp and the thestrals, just the designs for them and the actor lines to an empty space. Although that was handled well!
All in all, I am willing to go with the sets I think they'll be good. It does appear to me, though, that the majority of it happens in the Veil room as opposed to several different rooms. Hermione's "they'll be here any minute" line while Harry is already holding the prophecy makes it appear they escape the prophecy room, run into the Veil room, Harry and Luna hear voices, and bam there is the rest of the battle right there until Sirius and co. arrive. (I do hope the rest of the Order appears there, couldn't tell on that point.)
Ok at this point I am just starting to speculate and panic myself so I'll be quiet. Man, the suspense waiting for this movie and Book 7 is getting to be too much!

You know, I was thinking the exact thing when I first watched it, and again all the times that followed. Judging by what we saw, it does look like the events in the MoM will occur like you say they will. If you see all the clips that take place in the Veil room, and put the according to how they appear to happen in the book, you realise that they are going to change it around a lot. I was very surprised that we didn't get to see any DEs or Order members, besides Bella, Lucius, and Sirius, in those scenes! I hope they are in there, 'cause otherwise it might not be a real battle like the one described in the book. And you know what, if what you say about them not including the other rooms they go through is true, then I'm ganna be a bit disapointed. I wanted to see them fight the DEs in these weird rooms, and see Ron get traped by those brains and Hermione being hit, the DE and his baby head, and all that wondeful stuff.

I just want this movie to be perfect, is that too much to ask?!!!!!

LOL, no, that's not too much to ask, it's what I want too.
Unfortunately I have had to resign myself to the fact that things are going to be changed. The ending sounds like it will be the most messed with, but I think it will still be good. If I accept the fact that they are unable to copy things exactly like they do in the book due to time, budget, etc. I think I'll be happier when I finally see it. I just have to realize that books and movies are 2 different media. But oh, it woud be soooo cool!

I do think there is room for the possibility that there are other Order members there, and they did not show those clips being filmed. If Sirius and Bella duke it out as the last 2 standing after many others go down, or if they are in the seats fighting and not right next to the Veil it is possible. I am going to hold onto hope for that!

I'm also worried about how much they'll cut but I doubt they'll cut Snape's worst memory... it would not make any sense at all!

I hope not, otherwise it's just Snape going "Oh well, so what if you know Occlumency? It's not that important!"

I still can't get over how awesome the new characters look - seeing Umbridge with her head smouldering means we're getting fireworks , Luna is totally dreamy and Bellatrix just rocks!!!

I'm still somewhat at odds with Harry's new hair cut, it's definitively better than in GOF (could you call that a hair cut?...), it makes him look older but also almost like a choir boy or something, too neat.


anyways, enough nit-picking, I'm going back to watch the video for the 100th time, or so........ ( D'oh, that's where my eye-sight went, glued to the screen so close I can't see the veil....)
