The Leaky Video Gallery has firmly established itself as one of the most popular sections on The Leaky Cauldron smile.gif . To date we have 578 videos which are not only available for viewing, they are also available for downloading.

But what are your favourite videos to watch? This discussion poll is not only for you to tell us what you like, but will be invaluable in assisting us in finding those videos you really want to watch. This is all about you, your feedback!

The Video Gallery is split into three categories:-

Books - this includes videos about Jo Rowling and amazing interviews with her, official events and bookshop events.

Movies - this includes all videos in relation to the actors outside of Harry Potter as well as all videos relating to the 5 Harry Potter films so far, (including those awesome trailers and sneak peaks).

The Leaky Cauldron - Pottercast videos, fund-raising videos and even John Noe dancing!!

The amazing Video Gallery staff work very hard to get videos converted and uploaded as soon as they can, especially with the OotP ones. With more videos to come in the near future, do not look away wink.gif !!!

My favorite videos are Jo Rowling videos, so I went with Anything about the books, especially Jo Rowling. I love watching interviews with her. She's so funny and brilliant. biggrin.gif

My second favorite type of HP video would have to be the Sneak Peak and movie trailer videos. Especially before a new film is about to come out! *cough*OOTP*cough* biggrin.gif Even after the films are released it's nice to be able to go back and watch the trailer again.

We've added in another poll option which is "Harry Potter Parodies". This would include the hilarious Harry Potter and the Chamberpot of Azerbaijan and the Saturday Night Live skit.

Much as I love the parodies, really my favorite videos are those to do with Jo and the books. There are really precious interviews with JK Rowling, and many of them are from so many years ago I hadn't even seen them until this gallery came about. I love, love, love the interview that she did on 60 Minutes. The interviewer asked some great questions (though admittedly she's not the best at Quidditch trivia wink.gif ), but there are some really amazing drawings that Jo shows the camera (you can view that video here).

My second favorite, though, is undoubtedly the parodies. Those flew straight to my iPod - they crack me up every single time I see them.
Snufflespup
I choose love them alll. My faviote is Emma and Rupert on the Today Show, they were so cute! I don't like the parodies much. I know it's just fun, but anyone making fun of HP gets me mad, even the ones for charity, I know it's good, but... wink.gif
weirdsis
There are so many categories that I love, but the interviews with Jo are right up there! Second to that would be the sneak peeks at upcoming movies! I love taking in every aspect of a new set...
Madsdagirl
I love seeing the interviews with Jo about the books. When I see more about Jo I feel like I can understand the books better.
I also love seeing things about the movies and some of the parodies are hilarious!
SuperBlue
Absolutely, the insights into Jo are wonderful.......they remain my favourite category! However, I really love them all.....the parodies are amazingly funny. I'm still loving the "Extras" episode with Dan in it......

Just great stuff!

I love harry potter parodies like on Potter Puppet Pals!!!

I chose videos about the actors outside of HP, because that's really interesting to me. But parodies came in close second, the SNL thing was hilarious, and I LOVE Potter Puppet Pals.

I love browsing through the Video Galleries! Something different catches my eye each time. thumbup.gif

Although I love them all, I would say seeing Jo is the best, since that is a rather rare treat!

One that really captured my attention was the two part Australian video that celebrated the release of HBP.
"Magic at Midnight" Part 1
"Magic at Midnight" Part 2

Very cool--and a possible taste of what will be coming this July! biggrin.gif

I voted for Leaky Cauldron videos, then i saw what "Potter Parodies" meant. I looove the Chamberpot video, thats probably my favorite of all time!

I only just saw this thread? blink.gif

My computer is real slow & I dont have an iPod so I have to confess that I dont watch everything here. So when I do take the time to load a video, it means that I like it a lot. My favorite vids have been the OoTP trailer & then when it was added, the OoTP preview, even though it took 40-something minutes to load, but it was worth the wait!
And, of course another favorite is the Snowcake vid, I watched that so many times & it kept me going until I was able to recently acquire the DVD for myself.

Thanks you guys for having so much cool stuff in Video Galleries.

I just saw the AMAZING trailer for the OotP videogame, and all I can say is WOW! The animation is fabulous, and to realise that in the game you actually get to interact with these tremendously life-like characters is so exciting! excited.gif If I wasn't already planning on buying the game, this trailer would surely change me mind--it is THAT good!

Check it out here in the TLC VideoGallery! Just awesome! thumbup.gif

i voted for Videos about the actors outside of HP......i like all Alan Rickman-videos........
moony_lupin
I love every video in the gallery. thumbup.gif Anything to do with Harry Potter rocks my boat! Though I particularly like the behind the scenes interviews and previews from the movies and interviews of the actors, like the great ones with Jonathon Ross interviewing Dan Radcliffe.

I promised myself that I'd highlight this lovely video featuring no less then FOUR Harry Potter related actors having a christmas sing together. They are of course Emma Thompson (Sybil Trelawney), Imelda Staunton (Delores Umbridge), Kenneth Brannagh (Gilderoy Lockhart) and Stephen Fry who it could be argued plays ALL of those characters and many more as he is of course the narrator of the Bloomsbury editions of the Harry Potter Audiobooks. It also features Stephen Frys main comedy partner Hugh Laurie who has gone on to gather a whole new bunch of fans o the other side of the Atlantic. They do a lovely rendition of 'The Way You Look Tonight.' around a piano.
Have a nice holiday everyone.

I am sorry I had to say I can't choose because I really do LOVE THEM ALL!!! I couldn't choose between the film extras and sneak peeks, Harry Potter Parodies or Anything about the books, especially Jo Rowling because the are all really interesting, and in the case of the Parodies, absolutley HILARIOUS! xxx

No argument there, MirandaV! lol.gif

A recent video that I downloaded and have enjoyed immensely (since I don't get the Food Channel with my cable package sad.gif ) is the one from Ace of Cakes in which they feature building the incredible Hogwarts cake for the US premiere of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in my hometown, Los Angeles!

It's a really fun clip, with Duff (THE Ace of Cakes) at his best, and Dan Radcliffe joking about using the cake as a substitute for the castle model they use for the film. biggrin.gif Plus, having been amongst the throng of fans at the premiere, it was fun to relive that crazy Sunday!

Watch it in the Video Gallery --

I do love all of the choices, but I have to admit that I am a complete canon junkie. Any time that I can watch something and just get the teeniest morsel of extra canon, I'm all over it. So, even though I'll watch anything, and I really do enjoy seeing interviews with the actors, my desire for anything that Jo has to say won out. What can I say? I'm a nerd. tongue.gif

Documentaries about and interviews with Jo Rowling will always be my favourite clips to watch.
Like the one where Stephen Fry interviews her on the launch day of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire or even the 60 minutes interview that was lead by Lesley Stahl in 2002. Seeing that Jo is such an amazing and intelligent person, it's incredibly interesting to hear her take on things and get to know what she has to say about her own life but also about life in general.
I personally find that pretty fascinating.

As most of us obsessed fans know Jo Rowling wrote an 800-word short "prequel" to HP featuring Marauders James Potter and Sirius Black, a couple of cops, and a motorcycle. The card on which this was written fetched some $48,000.00 USD, and the full text will be available on-line shortly. PLUS you can order the book which will contain this and other short literary pieces set to be released in August, with the proceeds going to charity.

But for now, which I just downloaded and am watching and enjoying immensely, is the short video of the BBC's Lizo Mzimba reading an excerpt and discussing the piece, which we have in the TLC Video Galleries here.

I wonder if the motorcycle in the story is the same one that plays a further role in the story of Harry . . . ponder.gif

I chose the first option, because but the film trailers and film extras come a close second. I mainly like seeing Jo talk about the books, but also talking about anything really. Her recent Harvard Commencement speech I thought was AMAZING, she's a talented speaker as well as writer.

A new interview with Ralph Fiennes and Robbie Coltrane around the release of their new film, The Brothers Bloom is now up in the TLC Video Gallery, with some interesting thoughts on HP (Robbie is looking forward to the flying bike/DE battle in the upcoming DH films.)

As mentioned on TLC Main, actor David Thewlis ("Remus Lupin") recently gave an interview to KTLA-TV promoting his new film The Boy in Striped Pajamas (which is also being produced by HP film producer David Heyman. We now have that interesting video in out Video Gallery --

Thewlis on KTLA

In the interview, he briefly touches upon the reasons behind HBP's release date being moved and looking forward to the DH films.
