Sure post away! Someone may be doing some sort of pin promotion so trying to find out from WB Legal if it will interfere if we make pins as well. I'll keep you posted.

Okay, so I know that Sirius, well (I guess there should be some sort of spoiler here, but whatever) is no longer with us, but since the Dumbledore's Army tee got chucked do to the fact that the OotP movie hasn't been made yet, maybe there could be "Free Sirius" pins. This is probably suggested elsewhere, but I dono. Also wizard-ish political pins...heh...

It'd be nice to post what specific pins sugesstions have been made so we won't repeat too much.
I'd want a bouncing ferret pin
, pins with the international quidditch teams, I (heart) "any character" pins (even Mr. Weasley should get one, too!), and ... I will dream up more after I get my much-needed sleep.

In the interest of fairness and keeping things under control.
I think there should be:
:apaw: An new set every year, so keep the interest in pins constant
:apaw: Have a standard set but some new designs every year or quarter
:apaw: Choice as to which design we want, because if we made two purchases and received the same badge, I'd be pretty annoyed.

Hi again all, & Hedwig,
Great ideas. The new set every year is good, it could tie in with the current, book/movie that is out.
To go back to the Disney reference, they regularly do periodic releases, be it seasonal, or annual. They also do pins that correspond to things like movie releases, or events that happen on Disney property such as the annual Star Wars weekends that just happened in May, or their annual flower & garden or food & wine events in Epcot.

:apaw: YEP - Have them tie in with books/movie releases and promotions.
:apaw: Over in the UK, they had a special album for the Star Wars collection that tied in with the release of EPIII. Perhaps tere could be an album of some sort for HP pins.

Pins would be awsome! (Just an idea for when OotP rolls aorund: Weasley is Oour King)
Could they appear in Australia to? We get so little of the really cool Harry stuff here.
I love the I (heart) *insertcharacterhere* idea. I'd also love to see pins with just one word like "Maurarder" or "Cannons", things that only Potter fans really understand.

I don't know is these were suggested before this thread, but I've love to see ones from the books. Examples:
(1) "Support Cedric Diggory: The REAL Hogwarts Champion // POTTER STINKS"
(2) Flourescent "S.P.E.W." pins (even though I don't believe Spew is in the movie) like already mentioned:
QUOTE(Ginevra Dog Star Black @ June 25 2005,19:17)
Can we have SPEW pins?
(3) Maybe even the pins that never really existed: "I hate Rita Skeeter" (Ron joked Hermione was going to come back with a box of them after the article)
And, like was said before:

I'm all for anything canon, personally.
P.S. I second the "Free Sirius" Pins

the two message ones would be difficult a little bit more pricey I would think because it have to end up being a hologram to have a "magical" feel so when you move it around it has two messages.

Jun 28 2005, 03:28 PM
when i read that part of the book i had to make my own pin so i now have one that reads potter stinks that i'll be wearing to the movie showing. I know if a holographic pin like that came out I would buy it even if there was an increase in price.
the joy of wearing it would be enough. so in case you didn't guess i second the potter stinks/support cedric pins.

How about one that says, "The ones we love never truly die" with a picture of a black dog/Sirius? Or something of the like?

"I read HBP! Did YOU?"
"Book 6, where are you?"
"What's in your golden egg?" :Think of "What's in your wallet?" commercials
I agree to the "Potter Stinks". Of course, the house shields.

:apaw: Considering the fact that these pins are quite small. It would be best to keep the designs simple. I am not being a killjoy, but if you put a lot into a small space, it will cost more if it was to look good. If these are suppose to be free, then I can't see WB giving something away that would sell for a premium.
:apaw: Consider it a challenge to create the best badge with the least number of details required. It would be both effective and look good. Yes S.P.E.W would be a good one, but too obvious.

I still stand by mine because one of Quirrell that said "2 faced" would be pretty cool. I still want it! I love comical buttons, like one with Fluffy that says "Three heads are better than one" and one with Hagrid that says "Follow the pink umbrella" I don't know.

This has nothing to do with pins ... one of the other more appropriate topic's is 'locked' so I'm doing a cut and paste here:
Hi Ila,
I received my order today and have a couple of comments to make about the sizing. First of all I should explain I ordered a size 8 for my son, and myself a medium in a woman's fitted tee. When we opened the package, we couldn't tell one from the other! The woman's fitted tee's run REALLY SMALL! It will be like putting on a tight glove when I wear it on the 16th. A medium in the original shirt (most likely a men's) was so big and roomy that I was certain a medium in a womans fitted tee would be ok. I always buy medium. Anyway, you might want to review the sizing with the manufacturer, or at least add a sizing chart to the wbshop.com site so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Personally I vote for Weasley is our king.

I'm not part of this spoiled milk phenomena but....uh....if we could get the pins in a week (ha) how about The-Milk-Has-Spoiled pins....? haha
Personally, I think some large badges would be cool. Not little tiny can badges, but like, larger buttons. So they're easily visable.
Though, I think it'd be awesome to have a pin that's a wiggle picture (or something of that sort) that goes from a white ferret to Draco Malfoy. Maybe add 'See Draco - See Draco Bounce!' on it, or something.

I would so buy an "S.P.E.W." badge! I really like the "Free Sirius" idea, snaps for whoever came up with that one! Hmmmm, I'm thinking maybe a button that says "CONSTANT VIGILANCE" unless, that's too big or something.
