Ila, I know this is off topic, but I just wanted to say thank you for listening to our suggestions.
Ok, on topic, how about a license plate that is sort of shiny/metallic that is black with the HP logo (with the lightning bolt on the P) in the center. Something for the front end of a car just to customize it a bit.

Now that we are going to get pins, why not some enamelled metal badges that older people can stick onto their walking sticks? :apaw:

I don't know if this counts as a product suggestion, but I would love to have an HP ringtone for my phone. Do you know where I can get one that is compatible with Nokia and works in the US? Maybe WB could help with that.

Ringtones can be considered a product of sort and can even be classified as music if you want to stretch it that far.:wizard:
I have a solution
This is pretty easy really.
All polyphonic ring tones are actually midi tunes and there are many sites that have free midi tunes. You just need to download them and upload them onto your phone.
All Nokias from mid-range up, have a CDROM with software for your PC. One of these is for uploading tunes onto your phone. Thats pretty easy right? :wizard:
Some phones can use MP3's as ring tones and the same process above can be used.
These standards are pretty universal. I am in the UK, my previous phone, a Nokia is a Finnish design piece of kit that is a GSM/GPRS phone that is sold from North America, Europe toparts of the Far East. The standards applied by Nokia are the same everywhere you go. What is different is the frequency and the band used for each network. In the UK, it is very straightforward, but I know there are various providers and standards in use.
Same method works for any phone with software. Mind you Nokia are stingy with data cables, you have to pay extra for one.
WB won't help you get a ring tone, unless they sell them. Ring tones do attract legal and copyright problems. It is usually some unknown and un-named hero that spends their time with a keyboard plugged into their PC, playing the tunes and recording them. Some of them are very good and I have say that they are good.
I can't provide you with any links. Or WB will send legions of lawyers after me!!! :wizard:

I've found some Harry Potter ringtones online, but they weren't compatible with my phone. Go to google.com and search for them....
Annnnyway. Maybe there already is a product like this, but if they sold really soft scarves with like the Hogwarts symbols (gryffindor, ravenclaw, school seal, etc) I'd definately buy one. Same with the ties. I know I don't wear ties, being a girl, but maybe I'd start. The scarves in the movies just look really comfy....mmm
Okay, I just found the scarves that are sold. But they don't look nearly as comfy as what I'd imagined. :( meeeep

I've found some Harry Potter ringtones online, but they weren't compatible with my phone. Go to google.com and search for them....:
1. Were they MIDI tunes?
2. Not all MIDI tunes play on all computers/phones, in the same way some MP3's don't play on every computer or MP3 player. It is just one of those things.
3. Some MIDI tunes are quite complexed and if your phone doesn't support 32 bit MIDI or has limited range, then that could prevent it from playing. It is always best to play a tune on your PC and Windows Media Player is best, as Real Player makes them sound tinny.
4. It depends on the phone, Nokia's software i6 quite good in that you can choose the type of sound you want or just play it straight in the best way it can.
5. I'd never pay for ringtones. They charge $5 in the UK and that is just not on.

I would never pay for ringtones, partly because what they sell is pretty awful and not my kinda music. Also, you can't share what you've purchased. Having said that, I wish phone manufacturers put some decent tunes in their phones.
The MIDI tunes I've used for my Nokia 6230 all worked on my new Motorola V3 Razr. I can email the lot to you, but check your Motorola is compatable. If it is, just send me a message and I'll see what I can do.
I have following:
:apaw: Harry's Magical World (From PS)
:apaw: Hedwig's Theme
:apaw: Lumos (From PoA)
:apaw: Several versions of 'Double Trouble' (From PoA)
Not a bad collection, bear in mind it has been some years since the LOTRs Trilogy and LOTRs MIDI tunes are very few.

Easy!
1. Save a file (MP3 of MIDI) on your PC.
2. Upload it onto your phone with software provided by Motorola and you either upload using the data cable or via infrared or bluetooth.
3. The file should now be saved to your sound folder on your phone.
4. You access it from the multimedia menu from the main menu.
5. Now select SOUND.
6. Your recently uploaded tunes should be in there somewhere.
7. Just select and it plays and if you want it as a ringtone, you have to select it to be IT. I am not sure how to do that on your phone, but on the Razor V3 it is the button above the central cursor pad. There should be an option that reads "Apply as Ring Tone.
It works fine me, so it should work fine for you. Quite logical really.
Note - HP are fine for any other day other than work. My phone went off once when I was away from my desk and I am now well known for weird ringtones - YES "Double Trouble" on full whack. Good thing nobody from the senior management was around to comment. I now have something a bit milder for work days.

I would go for a kind of shirt that resembled a quidditch team jersey.
I think there needs to be some kind of Honeydukes themed T-shirt.
As Prof Lupin is very popular, I think a T-shirt with a photo collage of Lupin, the moon, and a wolf would be good (not that nasty werewolf they came up with for the PoA film, but a timber wolf or some such) -- I actually composited an image I used on my computer for a while and it was effective.
For GoF, there definitely needs to be a T-shirt with the Goblet of Fire on it.
And something could be done with the whole Veela thing (I envision all sorts of teenage and college age girls wearing skimpy tank tops that say "No wonder you're attracted to me -- I'm part Veela" or some such).
How a T-shirt that says:
EXPELLIARMUS!
(That's "back off" in wizard language.)
Just a few ideas...

I doubt they'd put any other wolf than the werewolf in the movie if they were to create a Lupin T-shirt... After all, Warner Bros is the company producing the films and making all choices about how things should look like.

Here are my suggestions for shirts:

-"Deatheater" and maybe has the dark mark logo under it
-"security" or "staff" on the front and "Ministry of Magic" on the back

I'd like to suggest a t-shirt that says "Weird Sisters" similar to what Tonks is supposed to wear in OOTP. While we wont see her til the 5th movie, we will see the Weird Sisters in GOF, and it would be interesting to have the T-shirts now, and see Tonks wear the shirt in OOTP
Thanks, Paul

You know what I would really like that I haven't seen yet? A parchment stationary set complete with a quill and a way to seal the letters with wax, like the first letter Harry receives.
Oh! And for shirts, for adults how about shirts that say
Head of ___ House? I bet parents would get a kick out of them!
For Goblet of Fire, how about a black shirt with a picture of the goblet with the blue flames on the back side and the writing "Over the age line" on the front in white?
And I always like food-related items. The jelly belly beans are a favorite. How about some Canary Creams?
Oooooh!!! I know what I forgot to say I wanted:
HP Socks! Especially ones like the ones Dobby makes for Harry in GoF with the pattern of the Snitches and the one with the Broomsticks! It'd be so cool to wear mismatched socks! I'd love a purple pair with yellowstars!

We don't get that brilliant a range of products in Australia...We don't have time-turners, wands or even robes - I got mine from WBShop.com. My local WB Studio Store (Crown Casino, Victoria) was getting rid of all their HP stock, though rumour is it's going to be sold through one of the department store chains. The only sleeping bags I've seen were on eBay, though they may be available at the WB Movieworld HP store - my friend went a few years ago and said it had tons more stuff.

Was there a suggestion for Cross-stitch?
Someone mentioned on another thread that they have an HP cross-stitch book, but it's in French.
Can we get HP Cross-Stitch kits?
Could you imagine a full 11x14 of Hogwarts castle in the Moonlight? Or one of the boat crossing poster?
How about a Cross-stitch of the Hogwarts crest or the Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw banners?
I think this would be an excellent line of product merchandise!

EA Games had released tie-in videogames for every Harry Potter movies that had been released. They had also released Quidditch World Cup, another Harry Potter inspired videogame. I think it would be cool if EA Games would develop a new HP-inspired videogame, but in a different genre: RACING.
I came up with this idea after buying Crash Nitro Cart, which was inspired by the Crash Bandicoot franchise. I just thought that it would be cool to see Harry Potter characters in a racing videogame. Maybe Harry could be riding a broom, Ron in the Ford Anglia, Hagrid riding a dragon, Sirius riding Buckbeak etc. etc. I know this is really weird. I have a weird imagination.

I like the idea of the 'over the age line' t-shirt. I just hope WB can get the sizing issue with the women's fitted tee sorted out. They run EXTREMELY small. The style is great, more appealing to women, I definitely would buy a fitted t-shirt before a regular (men's sizing) t-shirt, they just need to find a different supplier or add a sizing chart to the website where you order.

Ooooooohhhhh, I'd be all over that one. Question is how would it be structured though? I mean, at least in one like Everquest you go around and kill stuff to level. Since our loveable wizards and witches aren't really the killing sort (unless you are a DE in training) I wonder how that would work...it'd get kind of boring if all you did was homework. Granted, you kill creatures in the PS2 games don't you? I haven't played in so long, I don't remember. It's doable though if someone could come up with a good programing idea. WB has done MMORPG's before (*cough*TheMatrixOnline*cough).
I'm still one for bags. The bags out now are...dumb and for kids or really expensive. Personally I'd like a picture purse with a scene from one of the movies on the side of it.
And I still think vintage product shirts would sell really well. Make vintage screen shirts for The Leaky Cauldron, The Three Broomsticks, Bertie Botts, Gringotts, Flourish and Blotts. There are a TON of ideas there.

I think I'd have it so that the first 20 or so lvls would take place at a wizarding school dependant on where the player is from, then after N.E.W.T.S., you'd get a job at the MoM for what your class change would be. That sounds cool to me.

Well...I'm going off how EQ2 works (because that's my current gaming obsession I'm sad to say, and I've never really played anything else). In EQ2, you have to do something like a test at level 10 to choose your class, then at 20 to do your subclass. Those could be the OWL's and NEWTs? I'd want to spend more time in Hogwarts than just 20 levels though. heh That would be fun though.

If you are talking about the 'vintage' action figures There are 121. Not including re-issues.
I must say, I am astonished that it was Mattell & not Hasbro themselves making the figures. They make absolutely everyother toy on the planet (saving those bizarre jaks pacific wrestlers).
I think some better mid range items should be made. I know Cards Inc in the uk havea great set of plates at about £30 each, but I love the jewellery & ornamental type things you see from other countires.
I LOVED the cookie jars!! the one of Hogwarts was fabulous!
the Genle Giant busts are amazing & highly, highly collectable. WB should look to get Master Replicas on board to make some of the wands & key items of the books. Grffyndors sword, for example.

I know that this couldn't be done until the Order of the Phoenix film is made, but I think that when it is, it would be cute to have the Christmas tree ornaments that Dobby put up in the Room of Requirement. They were gold baubles that said "Have a very Harry Christmas!" with a picture of Harry on them. I made one myself last year, but it looked rather bad because I can't draw well, especially on smooth round surfaces.

I'd love an MMORPG of Harry Potter that was a really cool idea. But I can't really see that working unless you had people in groups of 3 going on diffrent quests to kill Voldemort. I was thinking of just a Harry Potter RPG something that kind of works like FF7 you have the story line and you have the weapons and the power of the wands varies with upgrades that you find. you need to find spells kinda of like materia. it'd work kinda like that. and Diagon Alley and Hogsmead are shopping supply stores if you could do that and make it MMO taht would rock

Well, I've spent time thinking about this. There's no way it could be strictly Harry Potter. "Harry Potter" in itself is very limiting. It would have to be more based around Hogwarts and the Wizarding world than Harry. Besides, you couldn't really have an MMORPG with everyone either being Harry, Ron, or Hermione.

I'm not talking about strictly Harry Potter, I mean an MMO in the Harry Potter Universe. I mean Voldemort would be dead and it would be about rounding up the remaining Death Eaters, Pureblood extremists, and beasts. Oh and yeah, Diagon Alley would still be in.
