With the ORDER OF THE PHOENIX film right around the corner, we are starting to see, more and more, new magazine and newspaper articles and pictures. So, here is the place to see and discuss them! biggrin.gif

* * *

The trio was featured in the June/July issue of TEEN VOGUE, as mentioned on TLC Main. In addition to the nice interviews, we got some great new pictures (here in the Galleries.)

Don't they look fabulous?!

Stay tuned, more to come!

Thanks to LizetM for her awesome help on this topic! clap.gif

Oh my - Dan looks just like in PoA. lol.gif Especially on the cover - what a weird photo!

And Emma is holding a bunny.... ponder.gif
LizetM
As nice as the pics are, I have to say that the way they fixed Emma's makes me wonder if they were inspired by HBC's Bella hair! XD

They all look extremely hot, though. Especially Dan! biggrin.gif
moony_lupin
Really great photos and a good interview with Dan, Rupert and Emma. They look soo stylish and grown up now. I think Emmas hair looks like she's got Crookshanks on top, but it is good nonetheless. I though Emma was holding a cat not a bunny. ponder.gif tongue.gif

There is one behind her as well. The room where they had the photos taken is nice and Potterish, Hogwartsish. What's that thing Dan is leaning on?
Fawcett
I went to Borders and they only had the May version. When will this one be available?
Hagiographer13
Fawcett, I would check back regularly, most June magazine are out by the middle of May.

lol.gif Oh no--not the h-word (hair)! Maybe the TEEN VOGUE stylists are deep-down HP canon purists and want Hermione's (Emma's) hair as bushy as possible! biggrin.gif

IPB Image

It looks like Dan is leaning on a big stick with an iron hoop on one end--shades of Quidditch!
LizetM
Rupert looks really good! I love that the media keeps focusing more and more on him as the movies come out.

IPB Image

Just look at him! He looks so handsome and mature. biggrin.gif

Oh, yes, I so agree with you about how handsome and mature Rupert is! thumbup.gif It's also very refreshing to see that the media realises that Ron/Rupert is not just a very pretty background adornment, he's actually an assest to the HP series! clap.gif

In one sense, you're absolutely right, weasleyismyking. On the other hand, though, he wasn't on the cover, was he? Just Emma and Dan. I don't quite understand that decision. The interview with Rupert was wonderful, and the pictures with him in them look very nice, but why wasn't he on the cover? Am I just being nit-picky? (Wouldn't be the first time...)

There have been some additional pictures appearing on-line from the TEEN VOGUE photoshoot mentioned on TLC Main.

Here is one of those cool new pics!

Ah, the glamour of being a film star. cool.gif

Emma does like that bunny. IPB Image I like the wolf behind, got a big smile on its face. That thing standing at the back looks like one of the Uruk-Hai from the LOTR movies.

I wonder if there will be anymore photoshoots coming out of the HP actors this summer.

As mentioned on TLC Main Emma Watson is on the cover, and featured in an article for the July issue of the UK magazine Tatler.

The pictures are lovely, and Ms. Watson has a very sane outlook on fame and how to cope with it --

"It is odd how normal courtesies don't seem to apply when people recognize someone. Maybe it's because they think they only have that moment to meet you. A lot of people call me Hermione and forget I am a real person and have another name."

Enjoy! biggrin.gif
LizetM
I love her hair color!

A lot of young actresses these days are dying their hair this way, dark, but most of them look bad cuz they look either too pale or the color simply looks too fake. Emma looks great with this color, it looks natural on her. And now I wonder, why can't Hermione have this color hair in the movies? ponder.gif XD

Here are two more images from the Tatler --

Emma is a stunning young woman, and a great role-model, imho. thumbup.gif

I don't really like Emma's hair in the Teen Vogue shoot, but she looks really pretty in the Tatler. Oh and no offense to any Dan lovers, but to me, he kinda looks creepy in some of the pictures..
Hagiographer13
There is a new article and scads of pictures in the layest issue of Parade Magazine, as mentioned on TLC Main.

In the article Emma discusses growing up with Dan and Rupert, and has wondeful insights on the importance of a character like Hermione as a role model --

QUOTE
With Hermione, Rowling has created an enduring role model for girls. “There are too many stupid girls in the media,” Watson observes, her dark eyes lighting up. “Hermione’s not scared to be clever. I think sometimes really smart girls dumb themselves down a bit, and that’s bad.” Watson admits that there is quite a lot of herself in the confident and bookish Hermione. “I’m a bit of a feminist,” she proclaims. “I’m very competitive and challenging.” Though she resented it at first, Watson has come to appreciate the emphasis on Hermione’s brains rather than her appearance. “When I was 9 or 10, I would get really upset when they tried to make me look geeky, but now I absolutely love it. I find it’s so much pressure to be beautiful. Hermione doesn’t care what she looks like. She’s a complete tomboy.”

Not looking much like a tomboy in the accompanying pictures (here in the Galleries) Emma epitomizes a confident and sharp young woman.

Entertainment Weekly has done a huge spread about the fifth film. It's a pretty good article; EW usually does pretty good Potter stuff, I've noticed. There's a great little bit here about why they cut certain things out of the movie, and while there aren't any hugely fascinating new pictures, it still looks pretty cool!
LizetM
I really liked that article on EW, I just got mine on the mail yesterday and I squeed at seeing the cover!

The only thing I didn't like was the Review on OotP, it was too abstract, it didn't say much about the film's faults. sad.gif

The scans of that awesome Entertanment Weekly issue are now in our Galleries!

As Elizabeth18 mentioned, the article is really good and has some interesting insights into the choices the actors and director make in bringing Jo's world to the screen. biggrin.gif
Hagiographer13
As noted on TLC Main Emma Watson is being featured in the January 2008 issue of InStyle magazine. The Daily Mail printed a preview of the article, with these lovely pictures --

Sporting a fab-fifties look, in the article Emma discusses working with stylists (“getting someone else to choose things takes the fun out of it") and her role in the upcoming BBC production of Ballet Shoes. Very cool! cool.gif
LizetM
Awww, she looks both stylish and adorable. I think I'm going to take these and make icons... goodness knows I don't make icons of her in the 'real' world at all. lol.gif

BTW, I really want to see her new film, just to see if she did or not improve her acting. biggrin.gif

We now have these images up in our galleries here!

I love these images! The fifties retro look actually suits Emma Watson very well! I love her yellow pants and pink jacket and the fact that she is sitting on a motorbike (which was considered cool in the fifties cool.gif!). I love her neck scarf in this, and her in the cafe gives it an authentic feel!

Congrats Emma on the lovely images! ^_^!
Mdemvizi
Emma looks beautiful in these images. I am glad she is getting into other stuff!

Congrats Emma smile.gif

Emma is the most stylish woman on the planet! I'm itching to see Ballet Shoes in a few weeks time. smile.gif

I agree the Fifties look does look well on Emma. I particularly like this one, here in the TLC Galleries:

Flair for McNair
on a whole I really like 50's fashion, and Emma really pulls off the modernization of it.
John-Robert
Emma is stunning in those shots! I'm getting hot over here~ smile.gif

The June 27th issue of Entertainment Weekly is out and commemorating their 1000th issue. thumbup.gif As mentioned on TLC Main there is quite a bit for HP fans to cheer, including Dan Radcliffe as Harry Potter front-and-center on the cover!

Here in the Galleries

In the issue, the fourth book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, was picked as #2 of the top 100 "new classics." Author JK Rowling was picked by the EW readers as their favourite, far out-distancing her nearest rival, Stephen King. Awesome! toast.gif
Hagiographer13
As mentioned on TLC Main Harper's Bazaar has a new article featuring Emma Watson and her trend-setting style and taste in clothes and fashion.

You can see larger scans of the article here on her official website.

Hagiographer13
The latest issue of Vogue magazine features an article and pix of Dan Radcliffe, discussing his role in Equus, as mentioned here on TLC Main --

Here in the Galleries

On a side note, one of the latest "conspiracy theories" about why WB moved the opening of HBP from this fall to next summer is that they didn't want to have Dan discussing HP AND his on-stage nudity in the same publicity interviews! lol.gif I think NOT! tongue.gif
Hagiographer13
As mentioned on TLC Main Emma Watson did a fantastic photo feature for Italian Vogue magazine, and we now have those scans in our Gallery --

She is such a stunning young woman and has a great camera presence. You can see all the scans here in the Galleries. smile.gif
