The other day while browsing the net, I came across an article about a JKR interview- and there was a black-and-white picture shown that she had drawn, of baby Harry about to be left on Privet Drive by Dumbledore, Hagrid, and McGonagall. I have heard of more of her illustrations floating around, but Google hasn't proven to be too terribly helpful. I found one site with descriptions of the pictures, but they don't seem to be loading.
http://www.angelfire.com/mi3/cookarama/rowldrawings.htmlDoes anyone happen to know where I can see these pictures? I had no idea JKR had any sort of drawing talent and I'm really interested in seeing more of her pictures. That site mentioned FictionAlley but I can't really find anything there.

On her website (you have to do things to find them though, I don't remember exactly what finds each one) there are a few of her sketches. None of those though, I'd like to see them too.

If you go on Youtube and search 'JK Rowling interview' a link to an A&E biography about her comes up and she shows her pictures to the camera on there. The interview's in several parts.

The first thing that popped into my head was to try using the search function on Leaky's video and image galleries. The galleries are linked from the main Leaky Cauldron news page. The gallery staffers are super cool. You can try asking one of them directly as well. Here on the Lounge there is a whole sub-forum dedicated to the Leaky Galleries. From the Lounge's main page you can find it via the little drop-down menu under "Leaky Sites: Cauldron's Corner"

Here is a link to a video which contains some of her hand drawn images:

We now have some of
JK Rowling's original artwork, featured in the
60 Minutes 2002 interview
in the TLC Image Galleries. Included are these amazing images --

Harry and Hagrid in the bowels of Gringotts Bank

Professor Snape
And Jo's (and my) favourite, the Mirror of Erised --

She really is an incredibly good artist, and, as
Peace46 mentioned, you can find some different drawings by solving puzzles on her
website.

Ah, many thanks!

I would love if she published an art book sometime.

OMG, where did you find these? These were not shown in the 'Biography Channel' interview... They are amazing!
Especially the one with Peeves, and the one with the kids in their nightgowns during PS...

I expect everyone's already familiar with them, but just in case, I thought I'd point out that there are two more of Ms. Rowling's drawings in the book Conversations with J.K. Rowling, which, if I remember correctly, is written by Lindsey Fraser of the Scottish Arts Council. These drawings are of Fawkes and the Sorting Hat.

I've seen these pictures and I think they are quite amazing. I wonder if Jo has ever drawn any pictures of Ginny or any of the founders. I'd be interested to see how she envisioned those characters.
It seems funny to me how she drew Nick. I wonder what she thought of John Cleese in the movies--the two pictures are very different.
