The amazing thing to me here is how she has employed several different artistic styles, and every one is utterly fantastic! Her use of vibrant colour is outstanding, but she also has a real knack with black and white, as well.

This is my absolute favorite drawing of hers. I remember Chickadee posted it during the DH reading groups, and I fell in love, Just the detail of Hermione's jeans..and the tenderness of the kiss. It's absolutely beautiful, don't you think? (yes, I do fully admit that I am in love with a drawing!)

I'm amazed at the cging skills you've got mary-dreams. I'd kill for those skills. congratulations.

Okay, part of me had to squee a bit when I saw your first link, but I knew what would be there, and that makes the other part of me cringe. I feel like perhaps I need to stand on a box somewhere and shout to the world that the redhead is not Ginny. I know this quite personally because I commissioned and paid for that drawing, and that's me playing chess with Ron...she drew it from a photo and made me look a bit younger. I own the original - it's matted and framed, along with the colored print, and hanging in my bedroom. I'm the redhead, I promise. You can actually see that her Ginny has a completely different look about her, and not the heart-shaped face I have, in her other drawings that include Ginny.



But anyway! I'm sooooo proud of my dear friend Maria for being our featured fan artist for April. I wouldn't have commissioned her twice if I didn't adore her work and trust her to create something fantastic every time. I love her, I love her work, and I love that I own two originals - which she drew with love for her craft, for HP, and for her friends.

I think it is an interesting (very Italian!) notion that the images from the locket are nude. The look of determination on Ron's face is palpable!

I also love this one. I think what I like most is the emotion in everyone's faces-- Ron looks totally anguished, but determined, and the shock in Hermione's face is just perfect. Wonderful picture!
