Author's Note: You can continue in this manner for a longer cone but it will also make the cone wider.

Do not fasten off, as the brim will continue where the cone ends off.

Brim
Rnd 1: Ch 2, dc in same stitch as Ch 2, 2 dc in each stitch around, join with slip stitch to top of beginning Ch 2. (155dc)

Rnds 2-5: Ch 2, dc in same stitch as Ch 2, dc around, join with slip stitch to top of beginning Ch 2. (156dc, 157dc, 158dc, 159dc)

Author's Note: You can continue in this manner for a wider brim but it will also be extremely floppy. You can also add hat wire around the edging to give it stability if you wish.
