Head & Body
Begin a 4-finger pom-pom by loosely wrapping the yarn around 4 fingers.

Wrap the yarn around 75 times.

Cut the end of the yarn and then cut a piece of yarn long enough to tie around your yarn bundle.

Tie the loose piece of yarn tightly around the wrapped portion to hold the pom-pom together.

Snip the yarn through the loops.

Fluff the pom-pom, trimming the yarn ends where necessary to make them round and even.

Repeat the above process, using just two fingers to wrap the yarn around this time.

Cut a long piece of yarn and thread it onto the yarn needle.

Sew the head (smaller pom-pom) on top of the body (larger pom-pom) by going up through the body, back down through the head, then back through the body.

Author's Note: Make sure that you are sewing through the center of the pom-poms, otherwise the yarn will just pull through the sides!

Once the head is well attached to the body, tie off and clip the yarn end so that it blends in with the pom-poms.

Threading the long tail from one of the wings onto the yarn needle, pass the needle through the body at the desired wing position and use that yarn end to secure the opposite wing.

Sew through the 4 stitched on the opposite wing, then back through the body and knot the yarn so that it will not slip back through.

Trim the end to blend in with the pom-poms.

Repeat this step with the other wing.

Author's Note: Make sure that you pull the wings in close enough to the body, or they will be too floppy!

Finishing
Glue the googly eyes onto the head.

Cut the yellow felt into two small triangles and glue them in place as a beak.

Please note that the patterns and tutorials you find here have been designed by Harry Potter fans all over the Internet. The authors alone hold the copyrights and licenses to these patterns and tutorials, which means you CANNOT use their patterns to make something that you will sell to others afterward. You can use them to make things for yourself. You can make some for your friends and ask them to pay for supplies. You CANNOT, however, ask them to pay you to do it as though you had created this pattern by yourself, or try to sell you crafts to a local store.

Think about it. Would you take a Prisoner of Azkaban book, photocopy it, put your name in big red letters on the front cover and try to sell it in your local library? The answer is, obviously, no. Well, selling crafts you have made but not designed would be just as bad!

Please note that posting a picture of a finished object on http://www.leakylounge.com will be taken as permission for the photo to be included in the http://gallery.the-leaky-cauldron.org/category/596. On that note, Harry crafting to all!
