Ahh, welcome everyone! We've been waiting for you!
We ghosts have come up with some wonderful food and drinks for you all. They're all laid out there on the table. Pull up an armchair and come sit by the fire and chat!
I've invited some of my ghostly and living friends to come visit us too. And keep an eye out for Peeves!

Why, thank you for the invite Sir Nicholas! I hope you don't mind if I fall asleep in this very comfy chair at some point in the night though, since it is really really late and I am so sleepy... 
So, where is Myrtle? I have heard she's been in quite a mood as of late.

Thanks for the invite Nick - lovely to be here! Umm, I was just wondering though, is the food meant to smell so strongly? The fish appears particularly pungent. And should those apples be quite so hairy? I mean, I always enjoy a good apple dunking competition, but I think the apples are supposed to be floating in liquid, not turning to liquid themselves. Not to be too picky or anything......
I just thought I'd check. Maybe I'll just stick with the elf-made wine for now. But thanks again - I'm sure its all very lovely. Don't mean to upset anyone.......

Yes, after my first experience I've always found it best to bring your own food to these ghost parties.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be doing but it's great to be at this Deathday party, it's really fun! Who would have thought a party in the company of ghosts could be so exciting. I might bring my own food though, if that's ok with Sir Nicholas.

*looks offended* I spent the last two months arranging and preparing this food to look just right. I don't know how fresh you expect it to be! Certainly the potatoes look a bit green, and the apples look a bit gray and fuzzy and liquid, but the fish is excellent I'm sure! That aroma is the aroma of deliciousness!

Would you like to volunteer to bob for apples? I can see if there is anyone else here at the party who would like to play against you. We ghosts cannot pick them up, alas!

Hi Alysaw! Thank you for the butterbeer! Is this place always so much fun and so welcoming? I was expecting to join discussions about Harry Potter but it's one big Halloween party and I'm loving it, an early party to get in the Halloween mood. I've got four pumpkins ready to carve and now I'm really excited about it, it feels more like summer than fall, but now I'm so in the Halloween mood. I've never been to a real Deathday party before! The floating candles and pumpkins in here are amazing!

I don't think ghosts set much store by hygiene - after all, they are dead, they can't catch anything nasty. But you think they might have made the effort for us mere mortals and cleaned up a bit before hand!

Hanging out with Fred and George is so amazing! They're the best twins ever and make great fireworks and candy, and just are out there with ideas of having a good time. I'm not having any success at all helping Hagrid to find his lost animals so I'll hang out with the ghosts and mischief makers.
In response to the comment about ghost's hygiene, maybe they do take more care in their personal grooming than you'd think because poor old Sir Nicholas got petrified (did it hurt, Sir Nicholas?) so that means ghosts are effected in the same way as living people. I'd still prefer to eat my own food though!

I visited the kitchens and got some more wine and more butter beer for us all, oh and i found some cases of Sherry they might belong to professor trelawny but i'm sure she won't mind she has loads of cases left
