I love this montage. Not only is Mr. Isaacs a fabulous actor and a great addition to the Harry Potter cast, he's a incredibly gorgeous man (those eyes!!

Mmmm, he's so... pretty . But apart from his obvious good looks, I really do feel that he looks soo like Lucius in the movies- even without the amazing wig, his eyes/mannerisms match the character so well!
Plus he's lovely to look at

Yeah gata show love for Jason Isaacs. He is so hot and so good at playing Mr. Malfoy I can't stand it.
I wish he could get out of jail in book 7 and be in the final battel scene. YUMMY!

Jason Isaacs does an absolutely flawless performance as Lucius Malfoy! He is perfect; I love watching him; he is devine! He and Alan Rickman are brilliant!

No one, NO ONE, can play Lucius Malfoy like he does; like the Brits say: He's bloody brilliant! And you have to give him props for managing to look really handsome in that wig, that many others would look girly in!

I saw him talk about his role as Lucius on a talk show linked somewhere online. He was just SOOOO into it - the costume, the acting, the scenes, eveything! That is when I realized how good he is.

When I told my sister that I was attracted to Jason Isaacs, she just gave me a look. I totally agree with everyone that says its the eyes that are so amazing, because they are! They just pull you in and you just fall in love.
He was absolutely perfect in Peter Pan! He had two completely different roles and did them so wonderfully. At times I found that I was rooting for Hook, not Peter Pan.

I check out Peter Pan quite often from the library, on the pretense my children like it, which I suppose they do, but . . . I like it quite a lot as well 
. I really like the extras bit when he says he wants his mum (after the rough day flying) and seeing him in an "Italia" shirt (my other passione). I too love him playing both Hook and Mr. Darling.

I just rented Peter Pan and all I can say is wow. He's so verstile, to be able to play 2 opposite ends of the spectrum in the same movie! And how hot was he as Hook?

This is so funny, that is the same thing that happens with people who know I like him! They give me the (O.o) look, but I'm like: You know what, you have your tastes and I have mine...so leave me alone!
I agree on the Peter Pan thing, but I could never really hate him as Hook, 'cause he's just too good, in the bad way...
... anyway, the more the merrier, and I love that we get him for twice the time in the whole movie!

It's wonderful to find some gals that have the same taste as me.
My hubby is now ultra-sensitive to my Jason fascination - he gets absolutely morose every time I watch Peter Pan.
Mr. Isaacs' eyes are nice, but it's the jawline I fancy. On a brighter note, you can catch The Patriot on tomorrow morning *1/21/2007* on TNT at 10:00 AM EST. Just thought you guys might like to know!

Absolutely splendid actor! Not to mention...he's ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!
Lucius is so horrid, Jason makes him easy to love(or hate, depending on how you view it)...the bad guy everyone loves to hate.
Oh, and tell me HOW I missed this thread?!? I should be locked away with Lucius in Azkaban(that's not a bad thing, really!)!

Jason Isaacs is the best actor in the world! He looks and feels like Lucius Malfoy, and the choices he made on his character when he got the role were ace (hair, staff, overbearing, etc).

Darling, he's the same age as my brother...and I'm eight years younger then the both of them. I think he's absolutely gorgeous, as well as a gifted/talented actor. He certainly brought Lucius to life for me! Then again, every character he plays, he brings to life. Period.
I have a good friend(who is on here somewhere-just joined), who is 18 and thinks Jason is the(about to make myself look terribly old here, lol)"cat's meow." Yes, the both of us, are "diehard nutter"

Jason is just wonderful! And I love how he gets so much enjoyment out of playing Lucius . . . it makes his portrayal even more delicious!

That's so true. He enjoys playing Lucius so much, it's so much more enjoyable watching someone perform if they love their character. He does an excellent job and really puts himself into it. He's also a pretty good looking man, which just adds to the enjoyment.

So, after seeing OotP last night I have definitely come to realize Jason Isaacs as Lucius Malfoy is dead sexy-no more denial from me. My mother said on the ride home-I'm surprised you don't like Lucius-so I had to admit then and there that he was a growing problem for me. I still don't like Lucius the character but in this film he is the eye candy.

I absolutely worship Jason! I think he is one of the best actors out there and he doesn't receive the recognition he should for all his works. I love the way he can play the most evil character one day (like Lucius or Tavington) and the next day he can go and play a funny and nice character like the one in Passionada.
People if you can go and take a look at his other works, they are absolutely amazing. I wish I could go and watch The Dumb Waiter but I can't....
Besides Jason is so nice and so damn funny!
And don't get me started on Lucius
Where can I get a larger version of the pic of the Dark Lord, Bella and Lucius? I want it as my wallpaper now!!
and have to watch the movie soon! can't wait to see Lucius on screen doing evil things again I've always preferred the baddies because they're a lot more complex as characters than the good guys, and Jason is the perfect actor to play them.

I totally agree. I absolutely loved Lucius is OotP. The second he came on the screen I started squeeing. He did an excellent job in this film, as well as Rickman.

Jason Isaacs cracked me up in his interview about doing the role. It was the first time I sort of liked him. I'd seen him in a version of Peter Pan and of course he was Captain Hook. Then his role in the Patriot-all of these roles have him as someone you'd gleefully choke and smile while doing it. He's very good at being the vile characters that you love to hate and would hate for real if they were real.

I am so loving my 15-YO for wanting this costume and making me stare at the pics for hours!

Jason Isaacs IS Lucius Malfoy. I couldn't imagine a more perfect actor to portray Malfoy.

I saw that list...those people must be seriously blind, if they don't think he's one of the sexiest, if not THE sexiest, man alive...from what I understand, a bunch of the ladies over at The Zone(his online fanclub)were voting like mad, just to get him on the list...well, looks like all their hard work(and mouse clicking)didn't work. Oh, and just a quick add: I was reading one of the threads on The Zone, and it mentioned that even a few DEAD people were on the list! Ok, some I will agree with...but come on! Isn't this suppose to be for people who are still in the here and now? Maybe it's just me, but once you die you usually don't look too sexy? Eh well, Jason is still the sexiest man for me.

Which, I jsut don't get. All these old people made it, but not him! Come on! Stupid list people, they clearly didn't choose right. If I worked for them, ha! He'd be in the top 5!
I saw that list...those people must be seriously blind, if they don't think he's one of the sexiest, if not THE sexiest, man alive...from what I understand, a bunch of the ladies over at The Zone(his online fanclub)were voting like mad, just to get him on the list...well, looks like all their hard work(and mouse clicking)didn't work. Bah.
Now you made me have this crazy thought in my mind of a bunch a ladies sitting around some computers, clicking their hearts away to get him in that list... the place they're at decorated from top to bottom with stuff relating to him.
OMG! Yeah, sounds silly doesn't it? Yes, it does...buuuutt, from what I took them to be saying, that's EXACTLY what they were doing!
Oh, and that bathtub piccie...here's what I say about that:
I do believe, that says it all about how sexy Jason really is!

I've done that, not with The Patriot, but with Peter Pan! "It's Lucius Malfoy! I mean Jason Isaacs!" Yes, people thought I'd gone right off my trolley with that.
Here's another one, not Jason, but Richard Harris: My fiance and myself, were sitting around earlier last night watching Gladiator with Russell Crowe and Richard Harris, well Liam(fiance)goes, "Ya know, that guy who plays Caesar, Marcus Aurelius looks awfully familiar." I sat there for a moment, grinned slowly and went, "Dumbledore." He just stared at me for a long time, and went "Huh? Dumbledore is in Harry Potter, not this movie." We argued for quite some time, until the credits were rolling and he finally goes, "Ah, it's the guy who played Dumbledore!" Slow, isn't he?!
Oh and Lizet, I didn't notice either right away. I had to look twice, before I saw his name on the list!

Part of Jason Isaacs' appeal (just like Alan Rickman) is his amazing voice . . . which is just as lovely as he is! Jason has recorded a radio play/series called The Brightonomicon. The fantasy series is set to be released in the UK on Valentine's Day, this year!

*faints* I love how you mentioned their voices. In OotP when Harry and Mr. Weasley get off the elevator and we see Lucius talking to Fudge, I heard Jason's amazing voice and totally passed out...his voice is absolutely amazing, and it has a silky, aristocratic tone to it- very much Lucius. As for Alan Rickman...well, by reading my signature, you know I'm a huge fan of him too. So in conclusion, Jason is the perfect Lucius and Alan the perfect Severus- I can't possibly imagine anyone else playing their roles! BUT, we've got to recognize both of them for their other brilliant movies.
Congrats on your nomination for the Golden Globe Jason!!

Just when I think that Jason Isaacs can not get any better looking, he goes and does another period movie. That man really loves doing the acting that involves dramatic costume! I feel like he's done more movies where he is in elaborate costume, then he has in every day clothes. Please note, this is NOT a complaint! I believe that Alan Rickman, and Mr. Isaacs look fantastic in period clothes. Bring on more pics!!!

I had an erm..."passionate dedication" for Mr Isaacs when I was about 18 (granted only 4 years ago). Anyway, one day I was sitting in maths next to my friend Josh going on and on and on about how attractive Jason was, finally he turns to me, poker faced and says really calmly "I am comfortable enough with my sexuality to state that Jason Isaacs is one sexy sexy man".
Needless to say I then keeled over laughing and fell off my chair. My maths teacher wasn't particularly pleased.

You know, I think he wouldn't make a bad Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice either...*sigh* I mean, for P&P lovers, I thought that Colin Firth portrayed the cold derisive side of Darcy, Matthew Macfayden the sweet shy side. I think in Leaky VidGals there was an interview with Jason Isaacs and I was like *total respect*
He takes his role seriously and his character seriously, and while I dont like Lucius I just love the way in which Jason Isaacs portrays him

I loved that the cane was his idea, and that when he kicked Dobby down the stairs Chris asked him if the floor was slippery! He really created such a perfect persona for Lucius, I'm glad they let him run with it! It led to perfect moments like this:

I just love the attention to detail in the set design and the wardrobes. The detailing on the sleeves from the OotP picture and the shoes, the brocade-ish jacket and the brandy decanter on the table all illustrate his character so well! Wolf hounds give me the creeps, though.

Jason is so cool, like he has the sneeriest sneer but such a nice smile. Who would have thought that a guy that seems to always be smiling in all his public appearance pics (& it looks a genuine smile & not a pose-for-the-camera stick-on smile) can do the sneer thing so well.

He's definitely cool...I noticed his smile straight off, it's such a warm, lovely smile. As my friend put it, "Lights up his entire face, as well as the entire room when he walks in." It's certainly not one of the usual "Oh my God! There's a camera!" slap-on, slap-off kind of smile.
As for the sneer...my mum probably would've put him to shame in the sneer department, but Jason certainly knows how to pull it off, and would've given her a run for her money! I think, and I'm sure many others do as well, that Jason portrays Lucius(And yes, I DO
Lucius, as well as Colonel Tavington! *notes villagers gathered with pitchforks to run the Tavington/Malfoy Advocate out of town*) like no other actor could...or could hope to do. Yes, ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!

From what I understand, he did read it...from a couple interviews that I read recently. And, if he hasn't, I'm pretty positive he'll have read it before he starts filming...that's one thing I love about Jason, he wants to know about what he's doing, BEFORE he goes in to do it.

According to a recent interview with Jason by http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/2008/9/11/jason-isaacs-cameo-as-lucius-malfoy-in-half-blood-prince, we will get to see a smidgen of Lucius (as a moving portrait) in the HBP film even though there was neither hide nor hair of him in the book.
I don't mind that at all!

News of the truly odd:
While reading thru the local newspaper earlier this morning, I chanced upon the new births section and as always, I gave it a quick scan to see if I knew anyone. Well, low and behold what did I see?
"Riverside Methodist Births:
Ashley S. and (wait for it) Jason Isaacs 25 October, girl."
I did a double take! I thought I was seeing things!!! I then made my husband read it, and he confirmed what I thought I saw. Yes, it certainly said Jason Isaacs. Interesting. Wonder if he knows?
However, to top that off, my husband was then reading the Obits, and came across this Obit:
"Malfaine, Nancy R.
Is survived by her husband of more then 60 years, (wait for it!) Lucius"
Again, the double take!! For the love of pumpkins, what a way to start my morning!
How weird is that? Jason Isaacs has a new baby(and in Ohio no less!), and Lucius is the surviving husband. Yes, very weird indeed.

It's amazing that they asked him to do HBP even though he wasnt in the book. Just proves how gorgeous he is! I melt when I see his eyes...not to mention his smile, it just lights up a room(or picture!)! Of course there's his sexy British accent...oh my, gets me everytime!
I have to agree...despite Lucius not being in the book, it's absolutely brilliant, that they asked Jason to still be in HBP! YAY!

Yeah, and we get to see him all tied up and vulnerable (but still with that defiant glint in his eye!) - a completely new side to Lucius *melts drools faints*
I'm really impressed by the HBP director in that regard. The people who made The Patriot could take a page out of his book.. I mean, HOW could they kill Tavington off like that? A. It was historically inaccurate (but then again, what WAS historically accurate in this movie?) B. It was just criminal. I mean, they just ruined every opportunity for a nice lovely sequel about our scruptious Colonel's adventures!

Those who made The Patriot should be strung up and smacked around until they're seasick! A. Killing of Tavington as you said, historically inaccurate(Banastre Tarleton LIVED and died in 1823 for crying out loud! That's who Tavington was loosely based on), and 90% of the movie was inaccurate by any standard. And B. It would've been absolutely BRILLIANT to have a sequel about the Colonel...or, even a prequel...seeing where he came from and what made him who he was, followed up by the sequel about where he came from, who he was and what he became. Shame on the makers of The Patriot! Bravo to the HBP director!

I agree also...any man who can make me laugh, is a man I shall like in some way, shape or form.

is my uber favourite character ever...followed closely by Lucius Malfoy, of course...Tavington(Jason ) is the the main reason I watch "The Patriot!" Well him, and the fact I'm a huge Revolutionary War fan(Brit side, of course, despite the fact we lost--see my avvie. lol).
