I like writing fiction. Particularly novel length when possible. I don't know that I favorite genre though that I favor. My stories tend to always be different in that matter. Currently, I'm undertaking historical fiction. Which is by far my most difficult venture. It'll take a painstaking amount of research do it right.

Novels are my favorite, although I'm not too good at writing short stories, word limits are my enemy. wink.gif I've never actually written a short story, because normally the plot has multiplied itself before I've even started writing!

I also don't mind writing essays for school, if it's on a subject that interests me. I like giving my opinion on paper and pointing out things that stood out to me.

I really admire people who write fan fiction, I couldn't write a story with someone elses characters without them turning into my own.. tongue.gif

I've always thought I stunk at poetry, but after taking a high school creative writing class I learned how wrong I was.

I like writing with a partner, but it's hard to find someone who wants to write with me. The only time I can get my sister to join in is when it's fan fiction. It's fun, because one of us will write a chapter and then the other will write the next one. I like seeing where my partner takes the story.

I like writing blogs, free form blogs, where I can just write about anything and everything and whatever. I don't do it much, because I don't like spreading personal information on the internet.

I think, though, of my novel writing I prefer writing realistic fiction. I do want to write a fantasy and after reading Harry Potter I don't think it would be so hard to do. It would take a lot more work, but it would be worth it in the end.

I do alot of short story/novel writing...along with poetry and fanfiction. With Fanfic, I guess I can also chuck that into the short story/novel writing lot, since my fanfic nearly always turn in a novel of some sort! ponder.gif Sly flag.gif

Short stories and novels. They're so different and yet link together in a brilliant way too. I've had loads of cases where I've ended up writing short-story spinoffs based on characters from the novel!

I just need to find the time to write. I've got so much on my plate that it's hard to escape into my imagination and let it run amok.

i like writing short stories and novels, but i can never seem to finish one, it's like killing off a part of my self once the words "the end" are entered and the pages shut. and i write poetry, it's my blood. to write is to share a bit of one's self to the whorlwho's dying to see it.

The type of writing I used to do was short stories. Now it's a novel.

Why I like to write is simple enough. I have a very large imagination and I have to write to leave room in my head for other things.

I had a few short stories published many years ago but I stopped writing. Mostly because the older I got the more I worked. Long work days meant no time for writing.

I have started to write again but this time it's not short stories. Now I find myself writing a story that's on it's third rough outline with more than 60,000 words and eight months invested. Work still keeps me away from writing as much as I would like but it feels nice to get back into it again.

I like writing short stories which I hope to be able to turn into novels one day, I just find it so hard to flow things. Like I could write 10 short stories about the same character but if I wanted to put them all together to make a novel I have no idea how to join the dots. It's something I'm trying to improve. But anyway in the poll I choose magazine articles because I find it so much easier. Yep I am clearly lazy.

I find I tend to write Novels or short stories. If I'm interested in the topic I'm writing about or the story, then it always ends up being longer then I first thought.

I like fan fiction as well. I mean, I read and write it a lot. I love it; but nothing bets writing your own story with your own characters and plot lines. blush.gif
