I feel like such a noob for asking this [and im not! ive been reading these books since I was in the third grade!]
But...did Dumbledore go to Hogwarts??I'm pretty sure he did, but I can't for the life of me remember what House he was sorted in!? So please, can someone answer this for me. --------------------   |

Other evidence that he is a Gryffindor is that he used Gryffindor's sword to bust open the Gaunt's Ring. I must've missed something when I asked myself this question.

Neither his father, nor his father's friends, had been at Hogwarts fifty years ago." -HBP, about the Advanced Potions Book. Snape was in the same year as his father, so if Snape owned that book, it couldn't be fifty years old, could it? I feel stupid, can someone please answer me?
